I Think of Those Once Great

I think of those once great
of those who once loved
of those who now love
of those who didn't count
I think of the cowards
............. the thieves
............. the pimps of culture
............. the whores of art
the killers & their victims
& those now brave & great
....... (history has no tears)
& I can find no fault

Everyone
............. Always
........................ does their best
the only rule is
........................ don't put anyone down
we all
........ always
.................. do the best we can
.. (who does not fear themselves?)

& I have a friend
....................... keeps
a Thompson in his closet
me, I love knives
........................ knives
& grenades
........ (OK, history has no tears)
Love
........ but carry a club
